Last Regional Workshop of TWAP Groundwater project held in Bangkok

UNESCO and IGRAC organised the fifth and last Regional Workshop of the TWAP Groundwater project. The workshop was held from 7-9 October in Bangkok, Thailand and is part of a larger programme also the world's transboundary fresh and salt water systems.

IGRAC at TWAP Regional Workshop for Western and Central Africa

From 22 to 24 July, a Regional Workshop for Western and Central Africa will be held in Dakar, Senegal. This workshop is part of the groundwater component of the Transboundary WAters Assessment Programme (TWAP) and will focus on assessment of transboundary aquifers of Western and Central Africa.

From 22-24 July, a Regional Workshop for Western and Central Africa was organised in Dakar, Senegal. This was the fourth regional meeting for the Groundwater component of the Transboundary Waters Assessment Programme (TWAP).

University of Frankfurt to undertake the modelling exercise and scenario building activity for TWAP Groundwater Component

UNESCO IHP and the University of Frankfurt will soon start the implementation of the modelling and scenario building exercise within the TWAP Groundwater Component.

UNEP selects Ms. Liana Talaue McManus the TWAP Project Manager

UNEP, the implementing agency for the TWAP, has selected Ms. Liana Talaue McManus as the Project Manager for the project. She will be working as a consultant, part time in Nairobi and part time from her home in Florida.

The UNESCO International Hydrological Programme (IHP) has organized two days Inception Meeting to launch the 2-year GEF financed Trans-boundary Water Assessment Programme (TWAP) Component on Assessment of Trans-boundary Aquifers and SIDS Groundwater Systems.
