April 6, 2009: IGRAC, the International Groundwater Resources Assessment Centre, presented the map 'Transboundary Aquifers of the World - update 2009' during a special meeting at World Water Forum 5 in Istanbul.

January 23, 2009: The Sixth Coordination Workshop was held in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, on December 1st to 3rd, 2008. The second publication "legal and institutional framework in the management of the transboundary aquifers systems of the Americas" was presented during this workshop.

October 10, 2008: The UN Water Decade Programme on Capacity Development organizes an international workshop on "Institutional Capacity Development in Transboundary Basins, Lessons learned from practical experiences" in Bonn, Germany  on 10-12 November.

International Symposium on Transboundary Waters

September 9, 2008: The UNESCO Chair INWEB together with the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, UNESCO IHP, SAHRA and IGRAC is organising the fourth International Symposium on Transboundary Waters Management, from 15th - 18th October 2008 in the city of Thessaloniki, Greece.

Roundtable on management of shared groundwater in South Eastern Europe in Slovenia

January 4, 2008: IGRAC represented UNESCO at the International Roundtable on Integrated Management of Shared Groundwater in South Eastern Europe, Slovenia, 14-16 November 2007.

Third International Symposium on Transboundary Waters

July 12, 2006: One of IGRAC's team members attended the 3rd International Symposium on Transboundary Waters Management, organized jointly by the University of Castilla - La Mancha and UNESCO, that took place from 30 May though 2 June 2006 in Ciudad Real, Spain.
