Based on the methodology developed during the TWAP Medium Size Project (TWAP MSP), the assessment aims at assigning indicator values for each national segment of the identified Transboundary Aquifers and Small Island States. The indicators provide a way of simplistically describing the characteristics of the TBAs and SIDS and conveying clear messages on the issues occurring. 10 core indicators, encompassing the hydrogeological, environmental, socio-economic and governance dimensions of the systems have been identified. The assessment will solicit data and information from country experts by means of completed questionnaires and bringing them together in workshop setting.
The following table summarizes the activities that will be carried out during the project to achieve the project purpose.
Activities | Objectively verifiable indicators |
---|---|
